The Hut

Our shepherd's hut is made in the West Country from steel and hard wood. It was built as the show cabin and appeared at the Royal Cornwall Show in 2016 and the Glamping show in the same year.  As the show cabin it was built to the highest standard and features double-glazing, heating throughout, mains power and water, dimmable LED lights throughout and much more. The setting may be rural, but your comfort will not be compromised here.

The hut is a spacious 24ft by 9ft, with double doors opening onto the beautiful Cornish countryside. Everything has been finished to the highest standard with beautiful vintage styling. The hut includes all the features you would expect in a self catering cottage, including a wood burner and 36 jet spa hot tub* more often than not, a stunning Cornish sunset.

Our shepherds cabin is equipped with heating throughout to give this cosy cabin year round warmth. For really chilly days, or just the enjoyment of the glow, a log burner sets the scene for a romantic break in the Cornish countryside. A complementary basket of logs, firelighters and kindling together with lighter and the heatproof glove provided will get you started with a roaring fire upon arrival. The hut is heated before you arrive and you control the temperature once you're here. Separate heating at the bed end and within the living area really allow you to control the warmth in the hut, you'll wake up warm in winter even without a fire in the grate.

Enjoy rolling green fields beyond the private garden of the hut and a view down to the Atlantic Ocean, rural, romantic and rustic! Ponies and sheep graze in the meadows surrounding the hut but despite all this we're just a 5 minute drive to the town of Bude, with the village store and pubs of Stratton a 15 minute walk along the bridleway. Shops, restaurants and the beaches are all close by but the rural setting will make you feel a million miles away from it all. Enjoy the 36 jet spa hot tub in the hut's private garden, it's for 3 to enjoy but little ones can squeeze in easily! The outdoor day bed is pure luxury, just lay back and enjoy the rural views and grazing livestock. They make this place really special and a night in the hot tub under the stars is amazing.

Located 2 miles from the centre of Bude, our farm is surrounded by over 300 acres of neighbouring grazing sheep and cattle.

The shepherds hut, together with its wood fired hot tub, is set in a secluded space overlooking our meadow from which we make hay when the sun shines!  The fields surrounding our meadow home the neighbouring livestock and form part of your Cornish countryside view.  You can even enjoy a sea view down to the Atlantic Ocean from the hut's garden and super sunsets are a treat to see.

Elsewhere on the farm we have a menagerie of animals including our chickens who, whilst enjoying their life of freedom, will provide you with your breakfast eggs during your stay.
